I write features, help and tips guides, reviews and analysis pieces for a wide range of publications. Mostly I cover technology (anything except gaming and education and I do sometimes cover education), but I have also written about science fiction, food, travel and crafts.

I also write case studies, newsletters, white papers, news stories and just about anything that involves crafting words into communication.

As part of my commercial work I do media training; explaining how to talk to journalists, how to turn what your company has to say into something the media will want to hear and how if you want to be quoted you need to be quotable.

I don't produce a feature list because I write for such a wide range of titles on a range of topics, but I will list some forthcoming features here and if I'm looking for pitches and contacts I often use the Response Source service. If you’re interested in commissioning me or discussing possible features, please .

I often collaborate with my husband Simon Bisson, who is also a technology journalist and consultant. In particular we work together on business technology features and we co-write a blog for IT Pro.

Titles I've written for include The Guardian, Media Guardian, FT Digital Business, IT Pro, The Developer Register, Computer Arts, PC Answers, PC Advisor, Application Development Advisor, The Official Windows XP Magazine, International Developer, Server Management (was Enterprise Server Magazine), ZDNet UK, Internet Advisor, PC Magazine, Start and Run Your Business, What Laptop and Handheld PC, PC Plus, The Official Internet Explorer 6 Guide, The Official Office XP Magazine, The Official Windows Millennium Magazine, The Official Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 Guide, Practical Web Pages, U.mag, PC Network Advisor, PC Support Advisor, .net magazine, PC Format, Mac Format, Communicate, Mac Publishing, the PC Plus Software Guide, Amazon UK, CD-ROM Today, New Computer Express and On-line World.
